Chairman’s Message

“Medical Education is a serious business, and a noble one. What we do today will affect the whole society, our friends and family as well as each one of us personally. It goes without saying that it should not be taken lightly.

I have been very fortunate in having been at some of the world’s finest educational institutions including All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), New York. It is there that I came across dedicated faculty, knowledge-thirsty students and an environment conducive to well-rounded development. It is there that I developed a passion for medical education.

It is with this passion that I have begun this institution. It will be a personal crusade for me to train very good doctors—doctors who are compassionate and understand basic human values, doctors who are able to communicate as easily with a villager as with a professor, doctors who have basic management education and are competent to start a medical practice or a hospital, doctors who can compete for PG seats or become a medical educator, doctors who understand medical ethics, have exposure to genuine medical research and have a chance to interact with US/foreign faculty to broaden their horizons. When a student completes medical education from AIIMSudr, he/she will feel ready to take on the world.”
